Bunny

Beautiful 2-year-old Bunny was on the e-list at the shelter when Two Chihuahuas rescued her. She had most likely been hit by a car and was suffering from a femoral fracture, an ileal fracture and a luxating pelvis. X-rays showed her right hind leg was completely severed from her spinal column! When Two Pups received a plea for help with her medical bills, we immediately agreed. When Bunny was being prepped for surgery, they discovered that she was also suffering from pyometra, a potentially deadly infection in her uterus! She needed antibiotics and a hysterectomy before her fractures could be addressed. Fortunately for Bunny, she healed quickly and when she was finally ready for the second surgery, the surgeon found that the pelvis had already reattached itself to her spine, and the ileal fracture was also healing well. The femoral fracture still needed to be rebroken and rod and pins inserted. Despite the incredible pain and trauma that Bunny has endured, she is so sweet and grateful for a second chance, that she just melts when shown any kindness. This gorgeous pup is well on her way back to being a healthy, happy pup and will make some lucky family a devoted companion.
